Well, I checked my email last night and sighed with frustration... Yes, yes... It was another rejection letter about my book... I swear I thought the hardest part would be in the writing of the book... But, no... Surprisingly that was the easy part! The hard part is getting a literary agent to give me a chance. Just a chance. I understand that a clever little query letter and synopsis is suppose to grab their attention. But, let me tell you. I have read a thousand books that by reading a brief synopsis on the back they have sounded great and have been a HUGE disappointment. The same is true when you read the back and it doesn't grab that much of your intention and then it turns out to be a great book.
Yes, I'm babbling. I don't know. I guess the rejection went well with other bad news yesterday. I had to watch people move into the house I have been trying to buy for the past year. I know there are other houses out there but this one had belonged to my grandparents and been in the family for over thirty years. My grandma sold it without telling us after my grandpa passed away. I had hoped to buy it back but I got beat to the punch as it were.
Anyway. What I really want to get across is that I will be blogging about chasing my dream to be a published writer and to one day be on a best seller list. Don't ever give up. Maybe this will help me get some followers and through word of mouth someone will take a chance on me and my book.
